Every school in Singapore requires their students to wear uniform. Even though it is not comfortable for some students, it is still compulsory to wear them. Thus, this is why I disagree that students should not wear school uniform to school. Firstly, from a school point of view, students need to wear uniform so that schools can identify them in public. This is to avoid the school’s reputation to be dented. For example, when students misbehave in public can lodge a complaint to the school so that the guilty students get punishment. As a result, students have to wear uniform so that schools can identify them. Secondly, from a student point of view, a student may over expose their body if they did not wear uniform. Some female students like to wear fancy, high and exposing clothes. For example, boys that cannot control themselves will try to touch the girls private parts thus molesting may occur and will be a police case. As a result, students need to wear uniform to avoid molesting. However, there are different opinions. From a student point of view, wearing home clothes is more comfortable for them. For example, there will be no more adjustment to their clothes that are deemed unnecessarily. As a result, student will like to wear home clothes more. Students still need to wear uniform to school. Thus, students will feel proud and full of pride when donning for school uniform. However, going to school in home clothes is much more comfortable for student. Wearing a uniform is still a good way to recognize students in public.

Being a youth in Singapore means that we have to study very hard to be Singapore’s next generation. We youths are constantly being pressured by parents, teachers and the elders. Thus, this makes it the most stressful time in our youth’s life. This will cause many youths to start smoking and hang around with bad company. As a youth myself, I have saw a lot of my friends start smoking, hang around with bad companies and endlessly looking for trouble. To prevent this, youths need to be self discipline and must be brave to turn down offers from friends who offered them cigarettes. As for me, I enjoy playing sports and I am still concentrating on my studies. I have no current distraction from my studies such as relationship with girls and fights with friends. However, I am still checking my `Friendster’ during English lesson in the computer lab. But so far, I have not been caught by my teacher, Miss Tan. I will reach home quite late after school as I like to stay back in school to play soccer with my friends. I will sometimes get scolded by my father for reaching home late. I sometimes will ignore my father when he is scolding as I feel like a small kid even though I am a teenager now. This is how a youth means in Singapore.
