My mind is currently thinking about escaping from school right this moment. There is nothing to do in school except revising mathematics and humanities. There is a lot of free periods in school for me.

Now I am thinking of what to write for this entry. I seriously have no idea in what to add for this entry. My mind is thinking of Hari Raya. I cannot wait to eat at my relatives house as the food is very delicious. I will receive money from my parents and aunts.

That is all for this entry. Enjoy reading this. Cheers.

When I turn 21, I will be in an army camp doing my National Service.  However, I think I will have a girlfriend by then. My younger sibling which not been born yet will be five years of age. My elder brother will be working already. My parents will then retire from working again.

I will be taller, grow a beard and have a shaved head. All my friends will be either in NS, working or in universities. I will also have my driving license.

I hope to get a diploma in nursing or in aerospace technology. With this, I will be able to work overseas.

I fear that I will lose contact with all my secondary schools and polytechnics friends. I am also afraid that my parents will pass away by that time.

When I turn 21, I will try to take my motorcycle license although I am being forbid by my parents.

My favourite stall in the canteen is `nasi selera’ and `nip and sip’. These stalls are selling food at affordable prices.

I always eat chicken rice, rice with fried potato and fried egg at `nasi selera’. At `nip and sip’, I always buy black pepper chicken pie and drinks there.

My favourite CCA is soccer.  I get free jerseys when I got selected and get to play in matches against schools.

I hope to see one of my friends be a trainee teacher at YSS. I will be proud to have a friend as a teacher.

Every school in Singapore requires their students to wear uniform. Even though it is not comfortable for some students, it is still compulsory to wear them. Thus, this is why I disagree that students should not wear school uniform to school.

Firstly, from a school point of view, students need to wear uniform so that schools can identify them in public. This is to avoid the school’s reputation to be dented. For example, when students misbehave in public can lodge a complaint to the school so that the guilty students get punishment. As a result, students have to wear uniform so that schools can identify them.

Secondly, from a student point of view, a student may over expose their body if they did not wear uniform. Some female students like to wear fancy, high and exposing clothes. For example, boys that cannot control themselves will try to touch the girls private parts thus molesting may occur and will be a police case. As a result, students need to wear uniform to avoid molesting.

However, there are different opinions. From a student point of view, wearing home clothes is more comfortable for them. For example, there will be no more adjustment to their clothes that are deemed unnecessarily. As a result, student will like to wear home clothes more.

Students still need to wear uniform to school. Thus, students will feel proud and full of pride when donning for school uniform. However, going to school in home clothes is much more comfortable for student. Wearing a uniform is still a good way to recognize students in public.

On average, I am given about $70 a month for pocket money. So per week, I received $15. For me, $15 is enough for my pocket money because I do not like to spend a lot of money on my food and expenses. I spent around $2 per day for food in school. When I ran out of pocket money in school, I will not eat in school or will ask my friends for money.

It is outrageous for teens to spend $3000 to $4000for pocket money. They do not know how it feels to be poor or average like me. I am not saying that I am jealous or something. These teens like to waste money on unnecessary things like expensive bags where there is a cheaper and nicer looking bag. For those people who go to salon twice to wash their hair, it is much cheaper to wash hair at home or ask your friends to wash it for them.

For me, materialism is a bad way to save money. For example, teens can reuse their old bag if it is still in good conditions and do not need to buy a new bag. They can also ask from their relatives or friends for bag if their relatives or friends are not using the bag anymore and want to throw it away. Teens can also use their old shirt if it is still useable. If they still want a new shirts, they can buy cheaper and possibly a nicer one. These way they are able to save a lot of money and they can donate some of it to charities.

Being a youth in Singapore means that we have to study very hard to be Singapore’s next generation. We youths are constantly being pressured by parents, teachers and the elders. Thus, this makes it the most stressful time in our youth’s life. This will cause many youths to start smoking and hang around with bad company.

As a youth myself, I have saw a lot of my friends start smoking, hang around with bad companies and endlessly looking for trouble. To prevent this, youths need to be self discipline and must be brave to turn down offers from friends who offered them cigarettes.

As for me, I enjoy playing sports and I am still concentrating on my studies. I have no current distraction from my studies such as relationship with girls and fights with friends. However, I am still checking my `Friendster’ during English lesson in the computer lab. But so far, I have not been caught by my teacher, Miss Tan.

I will reach home quite late after school as I like to stay back in school to play soccer with my friends. I will sometimes get scolded by my father for reaching home late. I sometimes will ignore my father when he is scolding as I feel like a small kid even though I am a teenager now. This is how a youth means in Singapore.

It has been raining for the past few days without stopping. It has affected a lot of people from all walks of life. All the laundries in my house have not dried yet. It is also making me deprived of clothes to wear. All my weekend activity has been abruptly disturbed. Since its raining, my father does not allow me to play soccer in case of lightning and avoiding fever and flu.

Visitors from different countries have difficulty to see the famous places in Singapore such as the Esplanade, the Singapore River and many more. Many people going to work using public transport are finding it a nuisance as the rain is making them wet in bus stop and taxi stand. Many young children are getting sick as they are playing in the rain.

Low lying areas in Singapore have been flooded due to the non-stop rain. Florists in that area have been affected because their flowers have been destroyed. They are now facing a lot of loss from the business. People who want cheap flowers do not pity these florists as they want to take advantage of them.

In Malaysia, some part of it has been flooded. Some residents have been left homeless. People have gone missing. Businessmen have suffered a big loss as customers do not want to go there due to floods. Thus, incessant rain has affected a lot of people in this region.
